Austere Mode:

Syncøpe is a scenic pseudonym adopted by Nika Kanishcheva,
based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her music is located between dub-influenced electronica, coexisting in the same sonic landscape with nuanced elements of minimal and subtleties of muted techno.

"Austere Mode" stands as Syncøpe's debut LP, crafted from November 2022 onwards. The working title of the album was "Story of Gunpowder." However, Nika chose not to include anything heavy in the title for such gentle music, even though the author resides amid war in Europe, surrounded by thoughts about the safety of her loved ones.

The music of minimalism is reaction to the gradual complexity of life,
elimination of excess and soothing with repetition, it reflects the need for peace.

The compositions on the album feature concise emphases on emptiness and evolve gradually, allowing us to perceive subtle changes and shifts over time with elegant simplicity and profound depth.
